Deena Wells Reppen has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Deena has held executive and leadership positions in various government and non-profit organizations. Deena'smost recent position was as Chief Operating Officer at the Foundation for Excellence in Education. Prior to that, they served as Chief of Staff & Vice President of Administration at the same organization. Before joining the Foundation, Deena worked as the Legislative Director at the Florida Association of Counties, where they were responsible for overseeing advocacy programs and legislative strategy. Deena also represented the Association before different government bodies. Deena has also held positions at the South Florida Water Management District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. At the Water Management District, they served as Chief of Staff and Deputy Executive Director, managing government affairs and implementing communication and outreach strategies. At the Department of Environmental Protection, they held the role of Chief of Staff and Communications Director, where they were involved in environmental policy formulation and implementation. Additionally, Deena has experience in the Executive Office of the Governor as a Press Secretary. Deena has also served as the Director of Operations at the Reef Environmental Education Foundation, where they were responsible for the organization's day-to-day operations.

Deena Wells Reppen pursued their education starting in 1987 when they attended King's College London. Deena graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in the field of Zoology. After some time, they returned to academia in 2002 and enrolled at the University of North Florida. Deena completed their studies in 2004, earning a Master's degree in Public Administration.
