David S. has over 20 years of work experience in finance and audit roles. David is currently serving as the Regional Finance Director - Asia Pacific at Excellence Logging since September 2020. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions such as Head of Finance - International Business at DSG (2019-2020), Head of Corporate Finance & Accounting at Unified National Networks (UNN) (2019), and Principal Consultant at Leonard Barlow Consulting (2016-2018). David also gained extensive experience at PwC, where they worked as Director - Risk Management Services (2012-2015) and Senior Manager - Risk Management Services (2000-2003). David took on the role of Regional Director of Internal Audit - Asia Pacific at LafargeHolcim from 2003 to 2009 and worked as a Project Manager for Carbon Risk Management Project at Deakin University from 2010 to 2012. David began their career at Chevron as a Regional Audit & Compliance professional from 1997 to 1999.

David S. has a diverse education history with a focus on business and finance. In 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Lincoln University in New Zealand. Building on this, David pursued further education and obtained the Chartered Accountant certification in February 1997 from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, in April 2004, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills in business administration, David enrolled at the University of Nottingham from 2009 to 2011 and completed a Master of Business Administration. David'sacademic journey continued with specialized coursework in entrepreneurship. In 2020, they attended Harvard Business School for the Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies program. Later the same year, they pursued further education at The Wharton School, focusing on Entrepreneurship - Financing & Profitability.
