Duane Peifer

Duane Peifer is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a diverse background in information security and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Cybersecurity Engineer III at Excellus BCBS since January 2021, Duane has held various positions including Security Operations Manager and Information Security Incident Response Supervisor at the University of Rochester, along with leadership roles at the University of Rochester Medical Center and iSecure, LLC. Prior experience includes serving as CTO at UberGuard Information Security Consulting LLC and Project Manager at Xerox. Duane's career began at Charter Systems, where significant contributions were made as a Systems Engineer. Duane earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology between 1990 and 1995.
