Amar Thyagarajan

Amar Thyagarajan, PhD, currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Excelra since March 2023, having previously held the same title at PROTEROS biostructures GmbH from 2021 to 2023. Amar's extensive career includes leadership roles at Aragen Life Sciences from 2017 to 2021, where responsibilities included Global Head of Strategy and Head of Business Development for Biology, as well as Senior Director of North America Sales. Prior experience encompasses various positions at Crown Bioscience, Inc., Taconic Biosciences, and Clark & Elbing LLP, focusing on business development, marketing, and product strategy. Amar's academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience and Biochemistry from the University at Albany, postdoctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and various courses in biotechnology and systems biology from prestigious institutions including Harvard University and McGill University.
