David Uba

David Uba is the current CEO at Excelsior Orthopaedics. Prior to their current position, David was the Vice President of Planning and Development at HealthNow New York from January 2000 to December 2001. In this role, they directed product development, implementation and ongoing strategic product portfolio management efforts. David also led business expansion efforts including new product development and service area expansion. David participated in development of three-year strategic plan and establishment of overall corporate strategy.

From January 2001 to December 2009, David was the Vice President of Strategic Planning, Innovation and Business Intelligence at HealthNow New York Inc. In this role, they developed, deployed, and executed corporate strategy for this $2B healthcare company. David also directed overall corporate performance management, innovation and business continuity planning. Additionally, David oversaw enhancements to core operating systems, identified and evaluated merger and acquisition opportunities, built and maintained enterprise-wide data warehouse, analytical, and reporting capabilities, and oversaw human resources function for 2,000+ employees in multiple locations throughout New York State and Pennsylvania. Lastly, they led senior management team and Board of Directors (BOD) through business planning; reported corporate performance to BOD; planned and facilitated Board and Board Committee meetings and annual retreats.

David Uba completed their MBA in Healthcare Management and Marketing at the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York. Prior to that, they completed their BA in Theirtory at Fordham University.
