Kristen DeHart

Kristen DeHart has a strong background in healthcare administration, with a focus on rehabilitation services. Kristen has held various leadership roles throughout their career. From 2000 to 2003, they served as the National Director for Kindred Rehabilitation Services, overseeing the operations and development of multiple sub-acute rehabilitation programs. In 2003, they became the CEO of Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital and successfully led its turnaround, earning recognition as HealthSouth's Most Improved Hospital in 2006.

In 2012, DeHart joined HCA as the Regional Vice President for Rehabilitation Services/Interim CEO, where they developed and supervised acute rehabilitation program strategies for the corporation's Mid-America and Continental divisions. During this time, they also collaborated with divisional HCA market leads and managed budget, operations, quality, and regulatory compliance.

DeHart joined Post Acute Medical in 2015 as the Chief Executive Officer for the Rehabilitation Hospital of Overland Park. In addition to overseeing hospital operations, they focused on integrating with the University of Kansas Hospital as a Joint Venture Partner. Kristen'sleadership resulted in significant expansion of referral sources and consistently high occupancy rates.

Most recently, DeHart became the Chief Executive Officer of Excelsior Springs Hospital in 2017.

Kristen DeHart obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Western Governors University from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 1984 to 1989. Kristen DeHart also holds a certification as a Physical Therapist from the State of Missouri, which they obtained in January 1989.
