Daniel Larsson is an accomplished X-ray Scientist at Excillum since September 2017, specializing in advanced X-ray technologies. Previously, Daniel served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from August 2015 to July 2017, focusing on x-ray imaging, spectroscopy, and diffraction to study Li-ion batteries at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL). Daniel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, earned between 2006 and 2015.

Excillum was founded in 2007 by researchers from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) Stockholm, Sweden. The first product was market released in 2010, the MetalJet. The unique metal-jet-anode concept of the Excillum x-ray source enables a morethan tenfold increase of x-ray brightness compared to conventional technology.The company is on a mission to enable new science, improve medicine and enhance manufacturing by continous development of state-of-the-art X-ray sources.
