Executive Education Academy Charter School
Jerome McCalla is an experienced educator and counselor with a diverse background in various educational and healthcare settings. Currently serving as Climate Manager at Stephen Girard Elementary School within the School District of Philadelphia since August 2018, McCalla also holds the position of Lead Teacher at Executive Education Academy Charter School. Since December 2013, McCalla has worked as an Intake Worker and Drug and Alcohol Counselor at NPHS Girard Medical Hospital, assessing patients for appropriate care. Additional experience includes roles as Team Leader at Success Schools and Counselor at Connections, where McCalla focused on drug and alcohol counseling. Previously, as Senior Program Manager at Devereux from 1999 to 2010, McCalla oversaw staff and programming development. McCalla earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.

Executive Academy Charter School’s mission is to implement a leadership academy and business education model that engages students in the school community, prevents them from dropping out of school, fosters self resiliency, and prepares them to be contributing members in the workplace, college, and the community. Executive Academy Charter School, in partnership with parents, districts, and communities, will implement a sound instructional program that delivers academic results to close the achievement gap. Executive Academy Charter School, in partnership with parents, districts, and communities, will implement a normative culture that gives students the academic skills and resiliency to succeed in the workplace, in college, and in our communities. This will allow us to address educational issues such as, the achievement gap, student dropout rate, and workforce and college readiness.
