Shaoyong Li

Head of Vector Biology at Exegenesis Bio

Shaoyong Li's work experience begins in 2008, where they served as a Research Student at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School until 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Post Doctoral Associate at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where they generated and characterized a novel rAAV vector for neurological diseases. They also developed strategies to prevent immune responses against capsid and transgene products. In 2016, they joined AGTC as a Research Scientist until 2018. Then, from 2018 to 2021, they worked at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist II/Senior Scientist. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Vector Biology at Exegenesis Bio Inc. starting from 2021.

Shaoyong Li pursued their doctoral studies at China Agricultural University from 2004 to 2011. Shaoyong successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree during this period. Their field of study during their doctoral studies is not specified. Later, from 2008 to 2011, they attended Harvard Medical School as a Visiting Fellow, specializing in Liver fibrosis.
