Kristy Brady has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Kristy is currently the VP of Licensing and Contracts at Exelixis, where they lead a team of legal professionals in negotiating and drafting agreements with various companies. Prior to their current role, Kristy worked at Cooley LLP as an Associate in the Life Sciences Partnering Group. Their responsibilities included representing and advising life science-based companies in strategic transactions, negotiating licensing agreements, and supporting M&A transactions. Kristy also gained experience as a Summer Associate at Cooley LLP and as a Legal Intern at the California Department of Justice. Additionally, Kristy has a background in biology, having worked as an Advancement and Communications Coordinator and Honors Program Instructor at the University of Washington Department of Biology. Kristy also served as a Graduate Student and Research Scientist, managing a research laboratory and conducting field experiments to study genetic and ecological adaptations.

Kristy Brady completed their education with a Doctor of Law (J.D.), Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco) in the years 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Evolutionary Biology, Ecological Genetics, and Eco-Physiology from the University of Washington in 2004 to 2006. Additionally, they attained two Bachelor of Science degrees (B.S., B.S.) in Botany and Biology from the University of Washington between 1997 and 2002. In 2000, Kristy also participated in the Belize Wildlands Studies Program, focusing on Cultural Geography and Conservation Biology.
