Derrick Bakuska

Derrick Bakuska, P. Eng., currently serves as a Process Engineer at Exergy Solutions since November 2020, focusing on the technology readiness of new technologies for startups and established companies through various assessments and engineering processes. Prior to this role, Derrick was a Process Engineer in Training and Process Consultant at SynStream Energy Corp from November 2018 to November 2020, where significant projects included extracting valuable metals from oil sands waste and recycling plastics to hydrocarbons. Derrick's earlier experience includes private tutoring in math and science, as well as internships at CES Energy Solutions, where contributions involved optimizing chemical processes and analyzing well corrosion rates. Derrick holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
