Sanka Palihawadana (BSc)

Sanka Palihawadana has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Starting in 2004 as an Accounts Assistant at Sri lankan Airlines-USA, they worked in a team to meet monthly deadlines, performed accounts reconciliation, and verified ticketing data. In 2007, they joined Ladbrokes as a Manager, where they provided and managed front-line customer service, achieved business plan goals, and ensured efficient operations. In 2012, Sanka joined Exetel as a Customer Accounts Executive, later transitioning to the role of Specialist Resolutions & Compliance, and eventually becoming the Manager Corporate and Residential Billing. In this role, they managed a team of customer service agents, improved billing systems, and ensured industry regulations and compliance were met.

Sanka Palihawadana has a diverse educational background. Between 1995 and 2003, they attended Bandaranayake College in Gampaha, where they obtained an Advance level degree in Mathematics. In 2004, they pursued a Diploma in Computing at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, completing it in 2006.

Sanka then furthered their education by enrolling at the University of East London in 2007. Sanka completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) degree in Computing in 2009.

Aside from their formal education, Sanka has also obtained certifications in other areas. In 2005, they were awarded the Airline ticketing and reservations certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Sanka enhanced their skills in network security by completing the NSE 2 Network Security Associate certification offered by Fortinet in July 2020.
