Alexander Upcroft

Alexander Upcroft has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Alexander is currently working at Exeter College as a Work Based Tutor and Lecturer of Digital Technology, where they lead the T Level: Digital Production, Design and Development program and manages the BCS Software Developer Apprenticeship. Alexander is also a lecturer and content creator for the Software Developer Bootcamp.

Prior to their current role, Alexander was a PGCE Computer Science student at the University of the West of England from September 2020 to June 2021.

Before pursuing their teaching career, Alexander gained experience at Canterbury Christ Church University as a Web Content Assistant. Here, they edited and uploaded course content for the university's website, focusing on enhancing their attention to detail, writing skills, and interpersonal abilities. Additionally, they worked as a User Technology Administrator for the university.

Alexander's work experience includes a Christmas temporary role as a Crew Member at FatFace, where they gained valuable experience. Alexander also served as a Duty Manager at Iceland Foods from August 2013 to September 2018.

Through their various roles, Alexander has developed a well-rounded skill set and a strong foundation in digital technology and education.

Alexander Upcroft completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2006 to 2015, they attended Chaucer Technology Sixth Form, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from 2016 to 2019 at Canterbury Christ Church University. In 2020, Alexander enrolled at the University of the West of England, where they obtained a postgraduate degree in Computer Science. Additionally, in January 2020, they obtained the Microsoft Office Specialist: Word Associate certification from Microsoft.
