Toby Coombes

Toby Coombes has over 20 years of experience working in finance, funding, and management information systems. Toby started their career at Devon County Council in 1989 as a Finance Systems Consultant, where they supported the transition of colleges to operate independently and monitored college expenditure. In 1995, Coombes joined City College Plymouth as the Head of MIS, where they established a new department to handle emerging information requirements and developed systems for data collection, processing, and management information. In 2003, they became the Director of Finance, Funding, Exams, and Management Information Systems at Exeter College, overseeing a team of 40 staff and a budget of £2.5 million. Coombes has strong technical skills in database design, management, and data reporting, with proficiency in Oracle and MS SQL and experience in developing web-based MI systems.

Toby Coombes pursued their education in a chronological order. From 1992 to 1994, they attended Exeter College and obtained a HNC degree in Business and Finance. Later, from 2000 to 2003, Toby Coombes pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computing for Commerce and Industry from The Open University.
