Étienne Gagnon is the Vice President of Commercial Transformation at EXFO. Étienne has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and product management.

Gagnon began their career at EXFO in 2000 as the VP of Sales & Marketing. In 2003, they were promoted to VP of Product Line Management & Marketing. In 2010, they were promoted again to Senior Vice President of the Test and Measurement Division and Corporate Marketing. In 2015, they left EXFO to become the President of Optel Vision.

At Optel Vision, Gagnon positioned the company as a world leader in the Track and Trace market for the Pharmaceutical packaging industry. Étienne increased sales growth and geographic diversification, leading to an increased booking of 500% in 18 months. Étienne also built a strong leadership team and structured the organization with process and tools to manage such high growth.

In 2017, Gagnon returned to EXFO as the Vice President of Commercial Transformation. In this role, they are responsible for leading EXFO’s commercial transformation initiatives, including developing and executing go-to-market strategies, driving innovation and new product development, and enhancing customer engagement.

Étienne Gagnon studied at Polytechnique Montréal, where they obtained their engineer's degree in mechanical engineering. Étienne then pursued a business master's degree at Telecom Bretagne.
