James McGinley

James McGinley is a Principal Safety Engineer at exida since April 2022, specializing in functional safety and systems engineering consultancy for the semiconductor and deeply embedded industries. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Engineer & Senior Technologist at Analog Devices, focusing on automotive safety engineering and product strategy. James also held multiple positions at Intel Corporation over 16 years, where responsibilities ranged from Functional Safety Architect for automated driving to establishing roles in solution and product management. Early career experiences include positions at Tellabs, IDA Ireland, and Glen Dimplex, with a solid foundation in telecom systems and software engineering. James holds a Master’s degree in Software and Information Systems from the University of Galway and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from Dublin City University.
