Steven Choi

Steven Choi has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Steven is currently working at Eximis Surgical as a Staff Mechanical Engineer and has been with the company since June 2021. Additionally, Steven has also taken on the role of Principal Mechanical Engineer at Eximis Surgical starting from November 2022.

Prior to their current position, Steven owned their own business called Choice Idea Works LLC, where they worked as an independent engineering consultant specializing in medical product design and development. Steven started this venture in May 2014.

From May 2015 to April 2020, Steven worked at EndoShape, Inc as a Senior Development Engineer and Engineering Manager. Their responsibilities included managing engineering operations, leading regulatory efforts, and overseeing the design and development of vascular occlusion devices.

Before joining EndoShape, Inc, Steven was employed at PowerVision, Inc as a Senior R&D Engineer from November 2006 to March 2014. During their time there, they focused on researching, designing, and developing novel accommodating intraocular lens technology.

Steven's career also includes a significant tenure at Guidant Corporation, where they held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer from June 1997 to October 2006. In this role, they contributed to the research and development of tools and therapies for interventional and surgical cardiac procedures.

Steven's early professional experience includes working as an R&D Engineer at General Motors from July 1989 to June 1995.
