Nick Cousins

Founder & CEO at Exizent

Nick Cousins is the founder and CEO of Exizent, a financial planning company. Prior to Exizent, Nick worked at Barclays from August 2012 to October 2018, where they served as Chief Product Owner for Financial Planning. In this role, Nick was responsible for developing and launching a scalable financial advice proposition in the UK.

Nick reported to the CEO of Wealth & Investments (W&I) at Barclays and was a member of the Wealth & Investments Executive Committee. Nick led a strategic programme for Barclays that required investment in technology and people. Nick was responsible for executing the following:

- Developing a clear business vision and commercial strategy

- Securing appropriate funding and support from within Barclays

- Developing the business case and ongoing management of the development budget

- Making decisions on the delivery roadmap

- Ensuring that the change programme ultimately delivers against business and customer expectation

- Managing stakeholders at the Barclays UK ExCo level and divisional level

- Designing a clear customer proposition - USPs, key features, target market, pricing and marketing strategy

- Designing the end to end customer experience for the service - customer journeys, experience touchpoints, online v offline activities

- Designing the overall Business Architecture and operating model (people, processes, controls)

- Articulating clear business and functional/non-functional requirements

- Designing the full online experience including website, app and servicing channels e.g. webchat, video, telephony

Nick Cousins studied business administration at the University of Bath and Hyndland Secondary School.
