Ruiying Zhang

Ruiying Zhang is an experienced manager and engineer in the field of imaging systems, currently serving as the Manager of Imaging Systems at Exo since April 2020, focusing on the development of hand-held medical ultrasound imaging systems. Prior to this role, Ruiying Zhang held several positions at Edan Instruments, Inc. from February 2017 to April 2020, including Lead Ultrasound Imaging System Engineer and Imaging Scientist, where advancements in imaging algorithms and features for ultrasound devices were made, resulting in one granted patent. Ruiying Zhang's academic journey includes a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, complemented by extensive research as a Research Assistant at both Washington University and Wuhan University, yielding numerous publications and patents in photoacoustic microscopy and metamaterial design, among other topics.
