Peter J. Christopher

Peter J. Christopher is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in photonic and ultra-precision engineering. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, Peter also leads a research lab and holds multiple chief scientist and innovation roles at various companies, including Exobotics UK Ltd, Prospectral, Nanomation, and DropCode. Previous experience includes research-related positions at Emmanuel College and the University of Cambridge, supported by a strong educational background featuring a PhD in Photonic Engineering and a Master’s in Ultra Precision Engineering from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol.
