Joanne Sonin has extensive experience in strategic advising, consulting, and corporate development. In 2010, they started their career as VP of Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, where they worked until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, Joanne served as the Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at Gazit Group USA. In 2016, they became the Managing Director at Eastdil Secured but left in 2017 to establish their own consulting firm, J. F. Sonin Consulting. Joanne's expertise also led their to take on various board roles, such as being a Non-Executive Director at HOPE REIT PLC starting in 2021 and a Non-Executive Board Member at Saxon Weald in 2021. Joanne joined Norse Group Limited in 2020 as an Independent Member of the Investment Committee. In 2022, Joanne became a Visiting Fellow at LSE Law School and the Managing Director at Close Group Consulting Inc. Additionally, they joined Exomnia as the Strategic Advisor, Head of ESG, Sustainability, & Research in 2023.
Joanne Sonin has pursued a diverse educational background. Joanne holds a Bachelor's degree in History from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Joanne has further expanded their academic pursuits by obtaining two doctoral degrees. Joanne pursued a PhD in Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and another PhD in Classics from the University of Cambridge. Joanne's qualifications in these fields demonstrate their intellectual breadth and analytical skills. Additionally, they also hold an MBA in Finance from the prestigious MIT Sloan School of Management.
