John Kleifgen

John Kleifgen is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and automotive fields. Currently serving as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at ExoTerra Resource LLC since April 2015, John has contributed to the design of Thermal Protection Systems for the Orion Spacecraft and other projects. Previous roles include Mechanical Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation, where John designed Thermal Protection Systems for the Dream Chaser spacecraft, and Mechanical Product Engineer at BOSCH Automotive, leading redesign efforts and ensuring product compliance with standards. Education includes a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and two associate degrees in Liberal Arts and Architectural Drafting and Design. John also served in the United States Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
