Kai Yin

Kai Yin is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in pricing optimization, demand modeling, and causal inference. Currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist/Machine Learning Scientist at Expedia Group, since January 2021, responsibilities include A/B testing and the design of experiments. Prior to this role, Kai held positions at HomeAway.com Inc, where contributions focused on revenue management and experimental design, and at Nomis Solutions, where expertise in building statistical and machine learning models supported pricing technologies for retail banks. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Texas A&M University, supplemented by a Master’s in Signal and Information Processing from Beijing Normal University, and a Bachelor's in Information and Computing Science from Beijing Jiaotong University. Additional experience encompasses research roles at various institutions, illustrating a strong foundation in data analytics and statistical methodologies.
