Roberto Ibarra has a wide range of work experience. Roberto started their career in 2003 as CTO and CEO of Innox Ventures, where they achieved CMMI Level 4 software development processes and was selected as one of the top 50 IT success stories in Mexico. In 2010, they became CTO of No Te Pases, where they were awarded AppCircus DF for the best app of Mexico in 2011. In 2011, they became Senior Advisor at Entia, where they designed an innovation camp service and the Active Action method. In 2012, they became President of the Board at TecZac. In 2013, they became CEO of Catolicapp.org, where they created and published apps for the religious niche, and CEO of AidApp.org, where they created the Paypal of mobile donations through operator billing. In 2015, they became CEO of Vida Entrepreneur, the first podcast to interview Latin American entrepreneurs in Spanish, which became the #1 Business Podcast in iTunes with over 3 million downloads. In 2016, they became Founder of Expediente Azul and Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at FORJA Desarrollo Directivo.
Roberto Ibarra has an extensive educational background. Roberto attended American School Foundation of Guadalajara from 1988 to 1998. In 1999, they began studying Industrial and Systems Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they completed in 2003. In 2004, they obtained a Quality in Software Engineering certification from the European Software Institute. In 2008, they earned a Master in Executive MBA from IPADE Business School. In 2010, they attended China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Roberto also obtained certifications from Cisco Networking Academy, Zend by Perforce, and Axway. In 2012, they earned an AppCampus (Microsoft+Nokia) certification from Aalto University. In 2018, they completed a Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century course from Harvard Kennedy School and a Transformational Leadership: Leadership at the Edge degree from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Roberto is currently enrolled in a Leadership for Racial Equity course at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
