Camila Ramirez Aviles

Camila Ramirez Aviles, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning and mathematics with extensive experience across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Expedition Technology Inc since May 2019, Camila previously held the role of Machine Learning Engineer in the same company. Prior to that, from January 2017 to May 2019, Camila worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Complex Systems and Network Research Group and contributed as a Dissertation Research Intern focusing on Analytical and Computational Methods for Multi-Model Sensor and Information Fusion. Camila's early career includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa from August 2011 to December 2016 and as a Department of Homeland Security Research Intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in summer 2016. Camila's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of Iowa, as well as a Master’s degree from Penn State University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
