Mikolaj Firlej

Mikolaj Firlej is a venture capitalist and lecturer in AI Law and Regulation. Mikolaj is currently Co-Founder and General Partner at Expeditions Fund, a venture capital fund investing in early-stage technology companies globally led by mission-driven founders. Mikolaj is also a Surrey Institute for People-Centred AI Lecturer in AI Law and Regulation at the University of Surrey.

Previously, Mikolaj was Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Firlej Kastory, Board Observer and Member of the Supervisory Board at Molecule.one, Fellow at Polski Instytut Ekonomiczny, Strategy and Investments at Netguru, Frédéric Bastiat Fellow at Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and Investment Manager at Kluz Ventures. Mikolaj also served as Business Development Manager at WealthArc.

Mikolaj Firlej has an extensive education history. Mikolaj is currently a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil) candidate at the University of Oxford in the Faculty of Law. Mikolaj also holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) from the University of Oxford, a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) from the Blavatnik School of Government, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Philosophy and Law from the University of Warsaw, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy and Law from the University of Warsaw, a Certificate in American Law from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law, a Fellow in the Summer Course of Law and Logic from Harvard Law School, a Visiting Student in Accounting and Finance from SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and a Fellow from Krajowy Fundusz na rzecz Dzieci. Mikolaj also has certifications in IELTS from the British Council and McKinsey Business Academy from McKinsey & Company.
