Youssef Abid has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Youssef started their career at Tenstep-EPM-Tunisia in 2017 as a Ten Steps intern, where they contributed to the overhaul of an open source web application and designed new modules for a survey application.
In 2018, Youssef joined Expensya as a software engineer trainee and worked on the design and development of the payment instruments module. Youssef also served as a part-time software engineer, focusing on designing and developing an accounting integration between Inextenso and Expensya to increase the number of Expensya customers. Later, they took on the role of project manager, managing more than 10 partner integrations and successfully implementing a standard design for accounting, travel, and reseller integrations. Additionally, they automated the project creation process by integrating the CRM tool with the project management tool.
In 2019, Youssef worked on Expensya's end-of-studies project, where they played a crucial role in designing and developing an integration with Deutsche Telekom to expand Expensya's presence in the German market. Throughout their work experience, Youssef demonstrated proficiency in various technologies such as REST APIs, C#, Angular, SQL, TypeScript, .NET, MVC, and TFS.
Youssef Abid started their education in 2014 by completing a Licentiate degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies of Tunis (IPEIT). Youssef then went on to pursue a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Information and Communication Technology from SUP'COM, which they completed in 2019.
In addition to their formal education, Youssef Abid obtained several certifications. These include API Designer certification from API Academy Certification in January 2021, Neural Networks and Deep Learning certification from Coursera Course Certificates in September 2018, and Principes des réseaux de données certification from INSTITUT MINES TELECOM in January 2017. Youssef also achieved various prizes and awards, such as first place in JCPC 2018 from ACM, second prize in Hackfest 2k17 from Hackfest, and second prize in the Galactic Problem Solver category from NASA International Space Apps Challenge, both obtained in April 2017. Moreover, Youssef Abid obtained a TOEIC certification from AMIDEAST in January 2018.
