Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director, Business Development at SSQ Assurance | SSQ Insurance, where they were responsible for business development in Southwestern Ontario. Shawn also worked as a Sales Director at ivari Canada and as a Marketing Director at Assumption Life, where they built relationships, provided sales training, and promoted the company's brand. Shawn began their career as a Financial Advisor at Canada Trust and has held various roles at companies such as Manulife, PPI Solutions Inc., Stride Financial, HUB Financial Inc., and worked as a self-employed Retirement & Estate Planning Specialist. Throughout their career, Shawn has demonstrated a strong focus on business development, relationship-building, and providing comprehensive financial advice to clients.
Shawn Redford obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Finance & Economics from McMaster University, graduating between 1993 and 1998. Prior to attending university, they attended J.A. Turner Secondary School from 1990 to 1993 and Applewood Heights Secondary School from 1988 to 1990.
