Augustine Owusu has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. From 2012 to 2013, they worked at GFX Prime as an Account Executive and later as the Head of FX Sales and Trading Support. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Precise FX, where they served as the Head of Operations, leading strategic market research and introducing innovative products. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Asia Pacific as a Business Engagement Officer, focusing on partnerships and senior stakeholder relationship management. In 2022, Augustine joined ODI as a Consultant for the AfCFTA Implementation Support project in Ghana. Augustine also worked at the Department for Business and Trade from 2021 to 2022 as a Trade Advisor, where they developed sector plans and provided strategic direction for UK companies. Currently, they are working at Expertise France as the Component Lead for the European Union Technical Assistance Facility to Support the AfCFTA.

Augustine Owusu holds a Master's degree in MSc International Economic Policy and Analysis from the University of Westminster, which was obtained from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, they pursued a custom course in Economics for Foreign Policy and earned a certificate from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in BSc Mathematics and Economics from the University of Cape Coast between 2006 and 2010. Augustine also possesses a certification in PRINCE2® 2017 Foundation & Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice, although the specific date of completion is not provided. Augustine has also engaged in coursework at the World Trade Institute (WTI) in WTO Law on Border Measures and Trade Facilitation.
