Walid Ben Amara

Walid Ben Amara is an experienced professional in the fields of law, justice, and gender issues, currently serving as the Mutual Legal Assistance in the Sahel Project Manager at Expertise France since September 2021. Previously, Walid held positions as a Justice Expert at UNDP, where advisory support on justice access was provided, and as a Gender Program Analyst at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), focusing on gender-based violence and coordination with European Union projects. Additional roles include serving as a State Controller in chief at the Presidency of the Government - Tunisia, a Fellow at the National Democratic Institute, and a Legal Advisor at the Presidency of the Government, where expertise on legal frameworks was developed. Walid's education encompasses degrees in Legal Sciences, Public Administration, and Business Law & Trade Regulation, from institutions including Michigan State University and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration.
