Robert Fortier, P.E. has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the construction industry. Robert is currently serving as the Vice President of Facilities and Construction at ExplorUS since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Operations at Alares Architects and Engineers from September 2020 to June 2021. From 2006 to 2020, they were a Principal, Consultant, and Investor at Creo Properties, where they focused on commercial and federal planning, estimating, and project management, as well as construction-related new product development. Before joining Creo Properties, they worked at Turner Construction as part of the Business Development and Preconstruction Services team from June 2004 to September 2006. From 1987 to 2004, they served as a Senior Project Manager at Hallmark Cards, Inc. Robert started their career in the U.S. Army in 1982, where they held roles such as Captain, Instructor, and SME at the US Army Engineer School, Company Executive Officer, Assistant Brigade Construction Officer, and Vertical Platoon Leader in Construction. Robert received specialized training in airborne and jungle operations during their time in the army.
Robert Fortier, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, which they completed from 1979 to 1982. Robert further pursued their education at Boston University, where they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from 1983 to 1985.
