Karen Mujica has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Karen began their career as a Business Advisor at Bancaribe in 1994, where they stayed until 1997. Mujica then worked as a Financial Auditor at the Superintendency of Bank & Financial Institutions from 1997 to 2001. Karen rejoined Bancaribe in 2004 as the Manager of Corporate Credit Risk, a position they held until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, Mujica served as the Vice President of Corporate Credit Risk at Bancaribe, where they were responsible for managing the credit risk process of the organization. Karen then took on the role of Vice President of Corporate Banking - Region II, where they defined business strategies and recommended service options tailored to customers in specific economic sectors. In 2015, Mujica transitioned to Sierto, where they served as a Finance Manager until 2016. Currently, they are the Director of Credit at ExpoCredit, where they are responsible for leading credit risk modeling and portfolio monitoring, among other tasks.
Karen Mujica has a Bachelor's Degree in Administration from Universidad 'Santa María', which they obtained from 1990 to 1995. Later, they pursued a Specialization in Finance at the same institution from 1997 to 1999. In 2012, Karen attended IESA and completed an Advanced Finance Program, specializing in Finance and Financial Management Services.
