Colin Reagle has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Colin started their career as an Intern at Honeywell Aerospace, where they oversaw tear-down and parts transfer of gas turbine auxiliary power units. Colin then worked as an Intern at Caterpillar Inc., resolving manufacturing quality issues and implementing corrective actions for contamination control.

Following this, Colin joined Alstom Power as a Praktikant, gaining experience in the industry. Colin then moved on to Virginia Tech, where they held various positions including Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, Instructor, and Postdoctoral Researcher. In these roles, Colin utilized techniques like Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to study particle impact behavior on gas turbine hardware. Colin also recommissioned an aerothermal test rig and conducted research on particle ingestion and deposition.

Colin's next position was at Techsburg, where they worked as a Principal Research Engineer. Here, they performed stereoscopic PIV measurements on various projects, including solar turbines and airfoil cascades.

Colin then joined George Mason University - College of Engineering and Computing as an Assistant Professor & Director of Undergraduate Programs. Colin taught courses such as Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, and Renewable Energy Engineering, and made significant contributions in course development and leadership. Later, Colin became an Associate Professor & Associate Chair, continuing to educate and mentor students in various engineering subjects.

Currently, Colin Reagle works as a Senior Engineer at Exponent, leveraging their extensive knowledge and experience to contribute to the company's projects.

Colin Reagle has an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Colin earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, completing their studies from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Master's of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, which they completed from 2007 to 2009.
