Ellen Donovan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ellen most recently worked at Exponent, where they held the positions of Vice President of Business Development and Director of Business Development. Prior to that, they worked at Ramboll as the Principal of Environment & Health and the Americas Service Line Leader for Health Sciences. Ellen also has experience at Cardno ChemRisk as the Director of Business Development and Senior Managing Health Scientist, where they specialized in risk assessment and exposure assessment. Additionally, Ellen worked at the US EPA as a Graduate Student Intern, focusing on children's health and air pollution. Ellen also held a position at UCSF as a Staff Research Associate III Supervisor, studying prion disease. Ellen started their career at the University of Michigan as a Research Assistant and Student Research Assistant, conducting microbiology research and developing biologic nanotechnology.
Ellen Donovan holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Microbiology at the University of Michigan from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Ellen also obtained a certification in "Leverage Diversity and Inclusion for Organizational Excellence" from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in February 2021.
