Fionna Mowat has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and consulting. Fionna started their career at Tulane University as a Doctoral Student from 1994 to 2000. After that, they worked at Tetra Tech EM Inc. from 2000 to 2002 as an Ecological Risk Assessor and Toxicologist, where they conducted risk assessments for various military sites. Since 2002, they have been with Exponent, a scientific research and consulting company, serving as a Corporate Vice President, Principal Scientist, and former Director of the Health Sciences Practice.
Fionna Mowat completed their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, having attended from 1990 to 1994. Fionna then pursued further education and obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University, which they completed between 1994 and 2000.
