Maria Pellizzaro

Maria Pellizzaro is currently a Managing Scientist at Exponent’s Health Sciences Centre for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety, where they utilize extensive knowledge of in silico toxicity methods for regulatory submissions concerning pesticides and biocides. They have previously held positions at Lhasa Limited as a Scientist, focusing on skin sensitization and mutagenicity alerts, and at GlaxoSmithKline, where they coordinated the synthesis of molecules for biological assays. Maria completed a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Leeds, concentrating on the synthesis of small molecules and NMR analysis of intermolecular interactions. Their expertise includes in silico toxicology tools and human health exposure assessments for chemicals regulated in the EU.
