Jon Urban

Managing Scientist, Associate Practice Director, Health Sciences at ToxStrategies

Jon Urban has a diverse work experience in the field of health sciences. Jon started their career at ToxStrategies, Inc. in 2008, where they held various roles including Managing Scientist, Associate Practice Director, and Health Scientist. During this time, they contributed to research on topics such as chemical risk assessment and steviol glycoside safety. Jon also worked at ChemRisk, Inc. as a Health Scientist from 2006 to 2008, focusing on the levels of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and potential health risks. Prior to their work in the private sector, Jon served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves as a Switch Operator from 2002 to 2004.

Jon Urban obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Jon then pursued a Ph.D. in Toxicology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from 1999 to 2006.
