Matthew Perrella

Matthew Perrella has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Matthew is currently working at Exponent as a Managing Engineer, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Engineer from April 2022 to March 2023, a Senior Associate from March 2021 to April 2022, and an Associate from October 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Exponent, Matthew worked at L3Harris Technologies as a Cryocooler Engineer Specialist from August 2017 to September 2019. Matthew also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2012 to August 2017.

Matthew gained further experience at Raytheon as a Mechanical Engineer in May 2016 and at Focus Engineering as a Quality Engineer in May 2012. Matthew also had an internship at Naval Surface Warfare Center in May 2011.

Matthew's earliest work experience was as a Cooperative Education Student at VT Miltope from May 2008 to May 2010.

Matthew Perrella received their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University in 2012. Matthew then pursued further education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015. Matthew continued their academic journey at Georgia Tech and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2017.
