Michael Frohbergh

Senior Managing Scientist at Exponent

Michael Frohbergh has a strong background in biomedical engineering and scientific consulting. Michael started their career at Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel as an Engineer from 2005 to 2009. Michael then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Integrated Cellular Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from 2008 to 2012, where they focused on tissue engineering and biomimetic scaffolds.

From 2012 to 2015, Frohbergh was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, conducting research on the effects of Pentosan Polysulfate treatment on the glycosaminoglycan synthesis pathway in mucopolysaccharidoses disease models. Michael also served as a Teaching Assistant during their time at Mount Sinai, educating and guiding graduate students in project management and bioreactor systems.

Since 2015, Frohbergh has been working at Exponent, where they initially served as a Managing Scientist and later advanced to the role of Senior Managing Scientist. Michael'sexpertise includes biomedical engineering and scientific consultation.

Additionally, Frohbergh has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Drexel University's School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems since 2016.

Michael Frohbergh completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from La Salle University from 2003 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a PhD in Biomedical Science at Drexel University, where they were enrolled from 2007 to 2012.
