Vugar Mirzaliyev currently serves as the Head of Division in the Investment Promotion Department at the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) since September 2022. Previously, Vugar held the position of Deputy Director General at "Absheron Olive Garden" MMC from May 2020 to October 2022, focusing on olive production utilizing Italian technologies. Vugar's earlier roles include Head of Department at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation (RIIB) from April 2017 to May 2020 and Head of Section for the Azerbaijan State Service of Antimonopoly Policy and Consumers Right Protection between August 2010 and April 2017, where responsibilities encompassed monitoring and analysis. Vugar began a career as an Economist at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies from August 2007 to August 2010. Vugar holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations from Azerbaijan State University of Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Credit from Baku Business University.

The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan- AZPROMO is a public legal entity operating in the field of export and investment promotion, providing a number of services to exporters and investors.
