Kevin Langford

Kevin Langford is currently the VP of HR at ExpressJet Airlines. Prior to that, they were with BHP from January 2015 to March 2019 as the Principal Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, they lead a team of HR professionals and supported 5 members of Executive Leadership. Kevin was responsible for budgets of up to $2.8 billion across 7 countries, including Drilling & Completions, Offshore Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing and Trading.

Kevin has a proven track record in mentoring and coaching early career employees and partnering with executive leadership to set people strategies. Kevin has increased engagement scores year-on-year by up to 20%. Kevin is also an advocate for an inclusive and diverse workplace and has developed strategies for culture improvement and metrics for measuring effectiveness of HR initiatives.

In their previous role, Kevin also directed functional optimization change management for North America, which included multiple reorganizations. Kevin also drove strategic workforce planning within the business, including development of recruitment strategies. Kevin successfully led the transition to a role-based job framework and utilized financial metrics and data analytics to influence strategic workforce directions. In addition, they developed and implemented policy integration and alignment for multiple business units across the U.S. and Canada.

Kevin Langford's educational career includes a Master of Arts in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Bradley University. Kevin also has certification from DDI in Targeted Selection Trainer & Facilitator and Targeted Selection Interviewer, as well as Falck in Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training.
