Saleh AlGarni has had a diverse range of work experience, primarily in engineering and project management roles. Saleh started their career in 2008 as a Power Generation Service Engineer at GE Power. Saleh then worked as a Construction Engineer at JGC Gulf International Co. Ltd., from 2009 to 2010. Saleh joined Saudi Aramco in 2010 as an Engineer III and worked there until 2016. During their time at Saudi Aramco, they gained experience as a Project Engineer at the S-Chem Group, which includes Saudi Chevron Phillips, Jubail Chevron Phillips, Saudi Polymers, and Gulf Polymers Dist. From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Project Engineering Lead at SASREF. Currently, Saleh AlGarni is associated with the Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority, where they were a Chief Project Manager from 2019 to 2021 and is currently serving as the Portfolio Strategy and Support Sector Head.
Saleh AlGarni completed their education at the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. Saleh obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering, which they pursued from 2004 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Engineering Management from 2011 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Saleh AlGarni has obtained several certifications. These certifications include the Portfolio, Program and Project Office certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, which they obtained in September 2021. In November 2019, they obtained the Better Business Case - Practitioner certification from APMG International. Saleh AlGarni also holds certifications in Value Methodology Associate (VMA) and Associate Value Specialist from SAVE International, earned in January 2015 and December 2014, respectively. Additionally, they obtained the Fundamental of Engineering certification from NCEES in April 2014 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2013.
