Dr. Richard completed medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2001 and went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Boston University Medical Center. In 2006, he began his fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at Duke University and has stayed there ever since.
Dr. Richard’s research evaluates the clinical outcomes of fractures of the upper extremity, with a particular interest in wrist and elbow fractures and improving ways to treat elbow arthritis in young patients. He has a clinical and research interest in adolescent elbow throwing injuries.
