Hans Duncan

Hans Duncan has extensive work experience in the retail industry. Hans currently works at Extenda Retail as the Lead Product Manager for Enterprise Automation, a position they have held since August 2020. Prior to that, they were the Product Manager for Backoffice & Mobility at the same company from December 2018 to August 2020.

Before joining Extenda Retail, Hans worked at Visma Retail AS for over a decade. Hans held the role of Senior Solution Advisor & Architect from May 2014 to December 2018. Prior to that, they were an International Product Manager responsible for strategic direction and functional requirements for the next generation of standardized retail management software. Hans was also the owner of releases and scrum sprints, ensuring that the software met and exceeded customer expectations.

Hans co-founded Best Retail Solutions during their time at BestValue AS. Hans worked as a Consultant, focusing on sales and implementation of software solutions within the retail industry. Hans also provided courses, consultancy services, and customer support. Additionally, they contributed to the further development of the HIP software package in collaboration with customers and software developers.

Hans began their career at Jabil as a Supply Chain Systems - Business Analyst. Hans served as a project manager for data import and integration projects with various ERP systems. Hans also oversaw the use of information from the data warehouse for reporting, production planning, and procurement applications.

Lastly, Hans briefly worked at Motorola Semiconductor as a Capacity Planning Analyst.

Hans Duncan completed their education in two separate institutions. From 1994 to 1997, they attended Norges Handelshøyskoles Kompetansesenter Oslo, where they earned a degree in Business, specifically Diplomøkonom. Following this, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued further education by attending Texas A&M University - Mays Business School. At Texas A&M, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management.
