Aja Peterson

Aja Peterson, SHRM-CP has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Starting in 2008, Aja worked as a Sales Associate at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse for six years. In this role, Aja was responsible for various tasks such as managing inventory, assisting customers, and training new employees.

In 2014, Aja took on a temporary clerical support position at Navigator's and later worked as a Temporary Administrative Assistant at NACCME, LLC in 2015.

From 2016 to the present, Aja has been employed at ExtensisHR, where they have held multiple roles. Initially joining as a Human Resources Associate, Aja quickly progressed to become a Human Resources Assistant-Trainer, responsible for training new employees. Later, they served as a Human Resources Generalist before being promoted to the position of Human Resources Manager in 2018. Since February 2021, Aja has been working as a Senior Human Resources Manager and Team Lead at ExtensisHR, overseeing all aspects of human resources management for multiple clients and their worksite employees, including employee relations, performance management, and coaching a small team.

Aja Peterson, SHRM-CP, graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric in 2014. Aja obtained various certifications, including the SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in 2020, the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association in 2018, and the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2017. Aja also obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
