Mark Dilsizian

Mark Dilsizian is the founder and CEO of Exteros, a company that specializes in computer vision and deep learning. Mark has a long history of research in these areas, beginning with their work as a Research Assistant at Rutgers University from 2009 to 2015. There, they worked under Prof. Dimitris Metaxas on a range of projects involving computer vision and machine learning, including monocular 3D pose reconstruction.

In 2016, Dilsizian began working as a Postdoctoral Associate at Rutgers University, where they deepened their expertise in deep learning and computer vision. Their work there focused on human pose recognition and biomechanical analysis. In 2017, they left Rutgers to start Exteros.

Before their work at Rutgers, Dilsizian was a Computer Vision Engineer for the DARPA Urban Challenge (first urban autonomous driving competition). Mark worked on the Ben Franklin Racing Team (UPENN/Lehigh), developing computer vision algorithms that helped the team finish the course.

Mark Dilsizian earned their Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rutgers University and their B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Lehigh University.
