Dan Sumpter

Dan Sumpter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law enforcement, training, and education. Currently serving as the Director of Training, Principal Instructor, and Senior Instructor at Exterro since December 2019, Dan also works as a Special Police Officer with the Wellington Police Department. Previously, Dan owned Readiness Training and Supplies LLC, providing firearm training to civilians and law enforcement. Dan's law enforcement background includes nearly 21 years at the Elyria Police Department, where responsibilities included investigating felony crimes as a Detective and serving as a Forensic Computer Specialist. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Bellevue University, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Ashland University, and multiple technical degrees from Lorain County Community College in Police Science and Digital Forensics.
