Amy Artuso

Senior Program Manager III, Mobility Safety Impact at National Safety Council

Amy Artuso has worked for more than 22 years in the area of children’s health and wellness. In her role at NSC, Amy serves as a subject matter expert. She drives sustainable growth by creating synergies across NSC roadway programs, including child passenger safety, Drive It Home, and Check to Protect.

She is well-versed in occupant protection and general transportation issues.

A child is involved in a car crash every 33 seconds and dies every nine days from heat stroke in a vehicle; on average more than 66 children have been killed annually in backup crashes – all preventable deaths. Amy is leading NSC initiatives that seek to eliminate these tragedies by educating parents, caregivers and all vehicle occupants about the consequences of not using seat belts, booster seats or car seats, and what everyone can do to make sure all vehicle occupants are restrained correctly during every ride.
