Ahmet Yortanlı

Ahmet Yortanlı has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ahmet is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Extra Card since August 2022. Prior to this, from March 2021 to March 2023, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at the same company, where they worked on developing solutions for individuals who do not have access to credit cards.

Before joining Extra Card, Ahmet worked as a Technical Project Lead at T.C. Aile, Çalışma ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı from October 2018 to March 2021.

From 2006 to 2018, they held multiple positions at TÜBİTAK - BİLGEM - YTE. Ahmet started as a Software Development & Support Engineer - Researcher from November 2006 to June 2010. Ahmet then served as a Team Leader - Senior Software Engineer from June 2010 to January 2015. From January 2015 to October 2018, they took on the roles of Project Manager and Product Manager - Senior Software Engineer, where they were involved in the development and maintenance of financial and social assistance information systems for Turkey.

Prior to their work at TÜBİTAK, Ahmet gained experience as a Software Engineer in Test (part-time) at Aydın Yazılım A.Ş from June 2005 to June 2006. Ahmet also worked as a Software Engineer (part-time) at Teknos Ltd from April 2004 to April 2005.

Overall, Ahmet Yortanlı has a strong background in software engineering and has demonstrated expertise in leading technical projects and developing solutions for financial and social assistance systems.

Ahmet Yortanlı attended the Middle East Technical University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Ahmet went on to pursue further education at the same institution from 2007 to 2011, completing their Master of Science degree in Information Systems at the Informatics Institute. Additionally, Ahmet Yortanlı obtained certifications in different areas. In November 2009, they became an Oracle Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) - Standart Edition 6 through Oracle. Ahmet also earned the Professional Scrum Master 1 certification from Scrum.org in March 2018.
