James Hafen

James Hafen has extensive experience in product development and technology, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Product Development at Extra Space Storage since July 2018, previously holding the position of Vice President of Product Development. Prior to this role, James worked at Yardi as General Manager and Industry Principal from March 2014 to July 2018, and at Centershift as Chief Technology Officer from January 2002 to February 2014. James's career began at Extra Space Storage in various development roles from July 1999 to January 2002, followed by positions at Evans & Sutherland, Analytical Technologies, and Hennepin Technical College, where the role included consulting on Oracle Applications and teaching PL/SQL. James's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Utah, completed between 1992 and 1998.
